Mary was born October 18, 1922 in Corsicana, Texas to Wiley Wesley Vaughan and Salina Lorine (Crawford) Vaughan.
Mary was a simple woman always working hard though to provide for her family, she worked 20 plus years at Sears and Roebucks and she also was a cook for 20 plus years in Seven Points, Texas. When she wasn't working though she loved her sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys, UT Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers and Houston Astros to name a few. BINGO...now if you said it you better be ready to go play because she was an avid BINGO player and loved the game.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, A.J. Vinson; two brothers, W.W. Vaughan Jr. and W.D. Vaughn; sister, Fannie Lorene Gaston; son, Wylie Ross Vinson; grandson, James Veltrop Jr. and granddaughter Valeria Vinson.
Those left with cherished memories are her four children, Tommy Vinson, Joyce Veltrop and husband Jim, Howard Vinson and wife Claudia and Doris Vinson; two sisters, Irene Brown and Margie Brown; brother Wesley E. Vaughan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren with one more on the way, a host of other beloved family and friends who will miss her greatly.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Restland Memorial Park located at 9220 Restland Rd, Dallas, Texas.
