Martha Wilkins

Martha Powell Wilkins passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2017 in Terrell, TX at the age of 83. She was born to Lee and Varina Powell in Tyler, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law JW Johnson of Tyler. Martha is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Ronald Wilkins; children, Matthew Wilkins and wife Wanda, Steven Wilkins and wife Tina, Tim Wilkins and wife Pam, and Andrew Wagner-Wilkins and wife Dolly; sister, Varina Johnson; grandchildren, Alexis, Ben, Forest, Jacob, Lauren, Matthew, Noelle, Philip, Stephanie and husband Kendrick, Tiffany and husband Ryan, and Will; great grandchildren, Claire, Donavon, Ellie, Evalyn, Garrick, Katarina, and Lucious; niece, Tina Hattan and husband Mark and daughter Alice; nephew, JW and wife Gigi and son Cameron to cherish her memory. Martha dedicated her life to family, friends, music and her faith. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas in Piano Pedagogy. She was a member of the Mortar Board National Honor Society. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Terrell where she was a leading member of the choir. She played and taught the piano. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.
