Bobbie Ellon Archer, 82, passed away at her home in Terrell, Tx on Monday April 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Lee and Truman Estes McDonald, her brother, James Ray McDonald and her husband, Clifton Avon Archer. Bobbie had many interests and stayed very active with varied occupations. She worked as a LVN at Alexander and Colonial Hospital, Terrell State Hospital and was a beautician and co-owner of Lavender Beauty Salon. For a brief time, she owned and operated a general store providing fuel and other items to truck drivers and travelers and she even was a licensed realtor and real estate broker. Never one to be idle for long, Bobbie believed in living life to the fullest. She also enjoyed painting, writing, panning for gold, metal detecting, trips to Las Vegas and friendly but competitive poker playing with her husband and other family members over the years. Bobbie believed in giving back and she helped many causes during her life. She had a passion for animals and she generously donated to the ASPCA, Boys and Girls Club and Easter Seals. A kind and loving woman, Bobbie will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her sons: Tommy Ray Stephens of Cave Junction, Oregon and Tony Lee Stephens and wife, Donna, of Terrell; grandchildren: Kevin Stephens and Donna of Carthage, TX, Scotty Stephens and wife Bernie of Avenger, TX, Anne Hatton and husband, Kevin of Cave Junction, OR, Crissy Meador and husband Jerry of Terrell, Missy Evans and husband BJ of Terrell, Courtney Sanders and husband, Jeremy of Frisco; great grandchildren: Kaylee and Ashlie Stephens, Elora Stephens, Dillon Jones, Randy Rickman, Riley Meador, Audrei Nix and husband, Stewart, Andreah Meador, Cade Meador, CrisseiA'ne Meador, Bre’Onna Evans, Shelby Evans, Brody Evans; great-great grandchildren: Lane Rickman, Casen Meador, Heaven Rickman, Cadence Rickman, her beloved dog "Lil Bit" who never left her side, and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park.
