Terry Liffick

Terry Dee Liffick, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Terre Haute, IN. He was born on January 16, 1942, in Terre Haute, to Garold Liffick and Katherine (Jones) Liffick. He married Janice Ferguson on June 17, 1967. Terry had many fond memories of growing up in Terre Haute where he attended Montrose Elementary School, Woodrow Wilson Junior High School, and graduated from Wiley High School (1960). As a kid, he enjoyed boy scout camping trips and playing baseball and basketball with his friends. Terry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1964 and is a proud member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. Terry began his career at Ethyl VisQueen and worked at Pfizer’s Vigo plant from 1974 to 1998 when he retired. Terry was a dedicated Purdue sports fan and loved watching Purdue basketball and football games. He was an avid golfer and spent 24 winters with his wife in Palm Coast and later Naples, Florida. Terry appreciated the outdoors and our National Parks, and after traveling to many of them over the years, passes on that appreciation to his children. Terry is survived by his wife, Janice Liffick of Terre Haute; children, Michelle Liffick of Chicago and Scott Liffick of Lafayette, California; daughter-in-law, Noopur Liffick of Lafayette, California; grandchildren, Jashn and Jia Liffick of Lafayette, California; siblings, Gary Liffick (Henny) of Kirkland, Washington, Kathy Reinhart of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Kent Liffick (Kathi Lauterbach) of Indianapolis; brother-in-law, Tom Ferguson (Nancy) of Ft. Myers, Florida; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify friends and loved ones in the future when services are scheduled.
