Shari T. Wigginton Robertson

Shari T. Robertson, surrounded by her family, peacefully passed at her home on September 8th. Shari was born October 8, 1950, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Wilbur T. Wigginton and Amy Ann Monninger Wigginton. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1968 and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in elementary education from ISU. Shari taught with the Vigo County School Corporation for 38 years. Her last school was Davis Park Elementary, where she taught 4th grade.

Shari was a horse lover, riding and showing horses since she was a young child. Shari was a member of both the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Paint Horse Association. She was also very fond of and a proud supporter of the Humane Society.

Shari is survived by her loving daughter, Whitney T. Brown (husband – Larry) of Clayton, Indiana and Grandson, Jake Brown; brother, Gerhardt Wigginton (wife – Fran) of Terre Haute; niece, Amy Hughes of Terre Haute; and two best friends who were like sisters to Shari.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenton “Cosmo” Robertson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your local Humane Society.

A gathering of family and friends of the past and present will be held on Saturday, September 10th, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
