Ronald “Ron” Archer, 59 of Terre Haute, is finally at peace now after a prolonged illness. Ron was born on September 7, 1956 to Robert Vernon and Mary Adiene Archer in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was known for his creative crafting skills and collection of model cars. He had a kind heart and enjoyed volunteering his time at the Horse Shoe Equine Rescue as well as to Unicef, bringing awareness to the importance of children’s education globally. He will be truly missed by many.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and multiple aunts and uncle.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Greg), and sons, Michael and Ronald Scott; wonderful grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michael, Ryan, Annabelle, Emma, Claire; siblings, Robert Lloyd and Sheri Archer Feuquay; his uncle Abe; and cousin Ruth (Allen).
A committal service will be held in Ron’s honor at Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016. Jeff Augustus will be officiating. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Equine Rescue.
