Pauline Alice Jeffries Mosteller

Polly, as she was fondly called, was a former resident of Terre Haute, where she resided until 2007. From 2007 till 2014 she had resided with her daughter Susan and son-in-law Bob in Georgetown, IN. The last three years, she was a resident of the Historic Villages of Silvercrest in New Albany, IN.

Polly was born July 8, 1915 in Terre Haute to Clifford and Nora Pitts Jeffries. Polly married Victor N. Mosteller April 17, 1938. In 1957, Polly and her three children were able to accompany Victor to Turkey, where they lived for almost 2 years. One of her fondest memories was her visit to the Holy Land.

Momma, as her children called her, was a homemaker. She loved cooking, gardening, mushroom hunting, her church and family times.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Vic and Don; a grandson, Rob White; two brothers, Clifford “Bud” Jeffries, baby brother Robert; and four sisters, Betty Ruth, Helen Adams, Mary Crowther and Jessie Richardson.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Bob) White of Georgetown, IN; grandchildren, Jay Mosteller of Pimento, Jeff (Sharon) Mosteller of Marshall, IL, Laura Mosteller of Indianapolis, Clay (Lisa) White of Riley, Josh (Erica) White of New Albany, Scott (Amy) Mosteller and Melissa Mosteller; great-grandchildren, Michelle, Jacob, Tyler, Gavin, Aubrey, Mikayla, Grace, Rachel and Genesis; one sister, Ann Threlkeld; sister-in-law’s, Margie Jeffries and Ruth Adams all of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to North Terre Haute Christian Church in Polly’s memory.
