Mary Alice Stanley, 87, of Brooksville, FL and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 2, 1927, in Terre Haute, to Harry O. and Anna C. (Whitesell) Webb. She married Fred Stanley and together they raised a family.
Mary worked as a cook for Otter Creek School for many years. She was a member of Calvary Temple Church. She loved to sew. Mary had a gift for music and enjoyed playing the piano and singing in the church choir. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
Mary is survived by her children: Larry Stanley and wife Rhonda of Arizona, Fred Stanley and wife Ginny of Terre Haute, Randy Stanley and wife Peggy of Tampa, FL, and Sharon Stanley of Brooksville, FL; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, a brother Joseph Webb and wife Theresa of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred; a brother Ernest Webb; and sisters, Dorothy Stanley and Norma Kautz.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 10 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 at the funeral home with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
