Marjorie”Mooch” Ellen Jeffries 93 of Terre Haute passed away peacefully at Regional Hospital on March 21,2017 .She was born on February 16,1924 in Terre Haute to her parents, Ralph and Charolette Stamper Willy. Marjorie was a graduate of Wiley High School and also Union Hospital School of Nursing. Marjorie retired from Union Hospital after many years as an RN. She loved to bake pies, gardening, mushroom hunt, swimming, loved to spend time at her church, spend time with her family and she touched many lives during her nursing career, and also loved to travel, and crochet. She was a member of Rio Grande Baptist Church, Why Me Breast Cancer Assoc. American Baptist Women's Club, Outreach to Recovery, Camp Bluebird and she was also a Breast Cancer Survivor
She is survived by her children, Mark(Amy)Jeffries and Kay(Warren)Acklin, she is also survived by three Grandchildren, Dylan Jeffries, Natalie Johnson, Darby Potts, five great-grandchildren, Jared, Hannah Potts, Joshua, Nicole, Shane Johnson, and her great-great-grandchildren, Kamri, Kaydee, Karson, Justice, Jace and Jaxton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford”Bud”Jeffries who she married on Oct.18,1946, a son Steve Jeffries, a sister Susie Arvin, a grandson Ryan Johnson, and a infant grandson Christian Jeffries, and her parents Ralph T. and Charolette Willy. Services will be held at 1PM Tuesday March28, 2017, at Mattox-Wood Funeral home with a visitation on Monday March27,2017 from 4-8 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Chuck Bahr with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
