Greg was born in Danville IL, to the late Verle Curtis Taylor and Patricia Ann Taylor (Boggess). He was a graduate of Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School.
He enjoyed camping and swimming on his family vacations and eating meals with family. He had many hobbies: reading westerns and military strategies, playing guitar, singing with his guitar.
