He was born on January 17, 1927 in Terre Haute to Harold Creasey and Anna Henry Creasey.
Don served his country in the US Army during WWII.
He was a member of Rio Grande Baptist Church, where he served as the Choir Leader for many years. Don served as Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #434 for over 35 years, and was an Eagle Scout himself.
He retired from Industrial Supply Company, and was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local #157.
Don was the recipient of the George Meany Award in 1986 and the Good Shepherd Emblem in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother William “Bill” Creasey during W.W. II; and his wife, Marilyn A. Creasey in 2005.
Surviving are his sons, Mark R. Creasey and wife Ann of Bargersville; and Chet A. Creasey and wife Madeline of Terre Haute; a brother, Robert L. Creasey and wife Pat of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Mereith Mast and husband Steven, Aliyah Creasey, Tony Lynn-Morris, Robert Bernard, Matt Schoettle, Evet Hexamer, Dana Bernard, Kimberly Harden, and Leslie Baker; two great-grandchildren, Luke Mast and Monroe Mast; two nieces, Jan Ruder and husband Gary, Debbie Pickett and husband Al; one nephew David Creasey and wife Rise.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Chuck Bahr officiating. Interment with Honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
