I am very saddened by the lost of a woman who was like a mother to me.  I hope and pray that Bobby and the family find peace knowing she is singing in Heaven's Choir.  And that she is with Leeam telling him how much we miss him and love him.  
She was a good and honest woman who loved her family whole heartedly.

Delores loved her Lord and she loved to sing hymns. It was a blessing to hear her sing and play the piano. She was a devoted wife and mother who raised three fine sons. I am blessed to have had such a sweet sister-in-law  her in my life. She is rejoicing and singing God’s praises at the foot of His throne. I know her family is grieving her loss and at the same time at peace knowing she is with the Lord. I pray for the peace that passes all understanding and God’s comfort to be with you all. Mrs Deloris was a fine lady. She will be missed by her family and I know she’s singing in heaven. I’d say she’s leading a choir!! She sang with her heart and she loved the Lord.

Delores was the last of the girls to leave home.  She used to sleep on the pull out couch.  She was always helping me with things like doing my hair for church especially Easter
The high light of my summer was Delores and Bob and the boys coming in for vacation.  
I remember her singing church songs with Mom and Daddy while I played the piano.  
I am so happy she accepted Christ.   I know I will see her again.  
I am praying for comfort for the family.  It’s so peaceful to think that she is with the LORD.

My Aunt Delores was one of the godliest, kindest, most compassionate, tender hearted, loving, and sweet ladies that I have ever known. I have many special memories of my Aunt Delores , but one memory that stands out to me was in the spring of 1993. My mom and dad were going through a divorce, and my brother and I were really hurting. Aunt Delores invited us down to their home in Jackson, Mississippi, and really loved on us during that spring break time. I can remember how wonderful her home-cooked meals were. I can remember her taking us to the Vicksburg military park where we could climb on the cannons and run up and down the hills. I can remember her taking us to the Jackson mall where we could walk around and burn off some energy. I can remember playing basketball in her driveway in the humid Mississippi evenings. I can remember sitting on the front porch after dinner just enjoying some time talking to her But the one thing that I remember the most is how much she loved Jesus. While we were visiting over spring break, she made sure that we were in church Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night. She was always listening to gospel music, and was such a wonderful Example to my brother and I.  My mom and dad both came from large families, but Aunt Delores stands out to me as the one lady who took time to show me the love of Jesus. I doubt that I would be doing the work of the ministry today if it wasn’t for her loving investment in my life  that spring break in the early 1990s.

I have so many memories of Ms. Deloris when they went to Berea Baptist Church.  She played the piano and sang for us.  She loved to do a recitation of John 3:16. I know she will be missed.  She was a great cook too.  She shared her recipe for corn flake candy.  We still make it today using her recipe.  She was a precious lady.  My thoughts and prayers are with Bro. Bob and all the family.
