David was a big family man and an avid business owner who owned his own furniture business for 28 years. There was nothing more important to him than spending time with his family. When he wasn’t four-wheeling with the grandkids, he could be found shooting trap or on his motorcycle. He was a proud member of the NRA. David was ambitious; he would start something and have it mastered before moving onto the next challenge.
David is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and brother, Kenneth Rooksberry.
David’s survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Marcia Rooksberry; daughter Stacy (Allan) Powers; son, David (Sharlynn) Rooksberry; mother, Louise Rooksberry; granddaughters, Kaila (Kyle) Yeargin, Megan Higgins (Cole), Lindsey Higgins (John), and Haley Higgins (Josh); grandson, Roman Mauer; great-grandsons, Andy and Avery Yeargin, and John Michael Bays; great-granddaughter, Presley Milam; sister, Marilyn (Mike) Dickison; brothers, Tom (Candy), Paul (Debbie), and Jimmy Rooksberry.
