Brenda Joyce Walters

Brenda was born May 8, 1947 in Eugene, Indiana, the daughter of the late Georgianne Boyd Keister and George Franklin Keister.

Survivors include: two sons, Roy(Kristina)Walters of Jamestown, Indiana and Jerry Dean(Milee)Walters of Kingman, Indiana; one granddaughter, Madison Fortune of Jamestown, Indiana; two brothers, Larry F.(Carolyn)Lloyd of Morgantown, Indiana and Herbert Earl(Charlotte)Lloyd of Danville, Illinois; sister, Janice Keister of Danville, Illinois.

Brenda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Earla Ann Walters; stepfather, Herbert Earl Lloyd, Sr. and brother, Richard L. Lloyd.

Brenda worked for the INDOT for 30 years, retiring on June 27, 2008 as a radio switchboard operator. She was a 1966 graduate of Fountain Central High School. Brenda's memberships included the Greencastle Moose Lodge and the Covington American Legion Auxiliary. Brenda enjoyed watching TV, reading and going out with her family and friends.

Funeral services: Noon EST Friday, February 28, 2014 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Gary Johnson; Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the funeral home.
