He is survived by two brothers, Jim Brown and wife Wilma, and Harold Brown both of Terre Haute; one son, James A. Brown and wife MaryAnn of Terre Haute; one son-in-law, Paul Rhyan of Clinton; four grandchildren, Monica Roush and husband Jeremy, Cindy Shaffer and husband Steve, Jason Brown and wife Erin, Amanda Keith and husband Jerry; seven great-grandchildren, Sam and Alathia Bowden, Gabe, Garret, and Cameron Roush, Emily and Rhyan Shaffer; and aunt Zelma Drake of Farmersburg; and several nieces.
Archie was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, H. Lou Brown; daughter, Betty Lou Rhyan; father, Archie Brown; and mother, Stella Brown; and two brothers, Paul and Earl Brown.
He and his beloved wife were owners of Brown’s Swiss Watch Shop in West Terre Haute. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Archie was the founder and president of the Full Gospel Business Men’s International, longtime member of First Assembly of God (Cross Tabernacle), where he was pastor of nursing home ministries, chaplain of Royal Oaks Health Care Center, and Union Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at Cross Tabernacle. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Reverend Keith Taylor will be officiating the celebration. Burial will take place at Bethesda Cemetery. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
