Amy Jo Boren Walker, 47, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Union Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1967, in Clinton, to Billy Jo Boren and Joyce (Evol) Strange. She married Brian Walker in 1997.
Amy had a huge heart and would do anything for anybody. She was an animal lover and would devote much of her time to volunteering at the Humane Society. She enjoyed making crafts and pottery. Amy had a gentle soul and kind smile. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Amy leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Brian Walker of Terre Haute; her mother, Joyce Strange and her husband Bernie of Clinton; her father, Billy Jo Boren of Lyford; a brother, Samuel Strange of Terre Haute; and nieces and nephews: Paige and Payton Strange of Terre Haute, Seth Walker of Terre Haute, Whitney and Emily Walker of Clinton, Kyle Davis of Virginia Beach, VA, and Amanda Davis of Wilmington, NC; and last, but not least, her two dogs, Isabelle and Sammy.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and two dogs that were close to her heart, Maggie and Shelby.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
