Wilbur was born August 6, 1934 to Loran Raymond and Bonnie (Field) May in Powersville, Missouri. He served in the U. S. Army for 28 years before retiring as a First Sergeant. During his time in the military, he served in Germany where he met and married his wife of 47 years, Christel Essig.
Survivors for Mr. May include his wife, Christel; three daughters, Pia Tingley, Linda Sue Walker, and Suzanne Bonnie Andrews; a son, Loren Eugene May; 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
