Vernice Viola Glass Moore

Vernice Glass Moore went to join the angels in heaven on February 27, 2013. On May 8, 1922 she was born to Otto Glass and Lydia Koch Glass in the family homestead located in the Barclay community. She attended school in Barclay TX and graduated from Rosebud High School. After high school she attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcus, TX.

She and John T. Moore were married on July 14, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1982. Three children were born into this union, Susan Moore Krauskopf and husband David, Paul T. Moore, and Ellen Moore Jez and husband Adrian. After retiring as advertising manager from Montgomery Wards she became a full time loving Grandmother to three grandchildren, John Cole Patton and wife Kim, Jennifer Jez Jarosek and husband Ryan, and Lindsey Jez. She adored them and was adored by them. She was so proud when she became a great gran to Jace Jarosek.

Vernice was an avid gardener and was a charter member of the Charleston Garden Club in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a current member of the Belton Horticulture Club, Belton Iris Society, Sanctified Sisters and Texas Belles Red Hat Society.
