Private services will be held for Sandra Lynne Barfield, 77, of Reed’s Lake community. Mrs. Barfield died Tuesday in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Barfield was born September 9, 1940 in Houston to Wilford Haddick and Esther Pennison Haddick. She graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Education. She had lived in the Temple area since 1966. She married Larry Scott in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1994. She then married Sam Barfield in 1997. She taught at Temple Schools for thirty years and was a member of Heidenheimer Church of Christ and Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Survivors include her husband Sam Barfield of Reed’s Lake and one brother Leo Haddick of Houston. Memorials may be made to India Mission Group Heidenheimer Church of Christ P.O. Box 177 Heidenheimer, Texas 76533. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
