Robert Alan "Bob" Mendenhall

Robert Alan (Bob) Mendenhall, age 64 of Temple, passed away on May 2, 2017. He was born December 10, 1952 in Oakland, California. He was the son of Max and Rita Mendenhall of Temple. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 9:15am Monday, May 8, 2017 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 5-7:00pm Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Bob served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. Upon retirement, he worked at the Temple Veterans Administration Hospital as a program support assistant in the architectural engineering department. He retired in 2015. Bob was a loving, kind brother, uncle and friend. He loved the Lord and lived a life reflecting his deep faith. He will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his sister, Patty Mendenhall; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim Mendenhall and Erika Mendenhall; and six nephews and nieces.
