Reba Mae Hughes, 89 of Dallas, Texas passed away March 26, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Axtell Cemetery in Axtell, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1927 to Annie Mae Norris and Wheeler Winkles in Gainesville, Texas. Reba graduated from Gainesville High School. She was married to George W. Swaner in 1946 until his death in 1958. She then married Daniel Byrd Hughes in 1961 until his death in 2011. Reba was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S. She was a wonderful homemaker and awesome loving mother. Reba loved cooking, gardening and volunteering at church. She is survived by her three children, Judy E. Smith, Tommy D. Swaner and Mormon Byrd Hughes. Arrangements under the direction of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, TX.
