Raymond Eugene Hill

Raymond Eugene Hill, age 81, of Temple, Texas formerly of Holland, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022 at a local hospital. He was born on March 12, 1941 in Holland, Texas the son of Floyd and Minnie Lee (Berry) Hill.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00am at the funeral home followed by burial at Holland Cemetery in Holland, Texas.

Raymond served his country in the United States Army from 1960-1963.

He went on to work as a painter at Wilson Art in Temple, retiring after many years of service.

Raymond is survived by his wife Lilly of Temple, his daughter Charlotte Mendoza and husband Ronnie of Temple, Texas, 6 grandchildren, Jake Lingo and wife Laurie of Salado, Randi Wheeless and husband John of Morgan’s Point, Robin Rodriguez and husband Ramón of Morgan’s Point, Stephen Hines and wife Jessica of New Jersey, Joell Mendoza and wife Paula of Austin, and Jessica Rodriguez and husband Eric of New Braunfels and 11 great-grandchildren, Alex, Ella, Zavian, Wyatt, Zamia, Aiden, Lyla, Riggins, Zara, Sophia, and Remington. He is also survived by a brother Ronnie Hill and wife Linda of Shreveport and a sister Linda Sue Jones of Holland.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Minnie Lee Hill, and a brother James Hill.
