Mrs. Olsen died Thursday at her residence.
Mrs. Olsen was born May 4, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry M. Sarason and Lucy Andrews Sarason. She graduated from high school in Pasadena, California, from Junior College at John Muri College and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Biola University and Master’s Degree from the University of Denver. She was a Missionary in Taiwan and France and taught school in the Los Angeles, California area. She married Walther Olsen, Jr. June 22, 1962. She moved to Temple, from Colorado 8 years ago and was a member of Canyon Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Walther Olsen, Jr. of Temple; two sons Mark Olsen and his wife Connie of Temple and John Olsen and his wife Larissa of Cypress; one sister Mildred Seyffert of London Ontario, Canada; seven grandchildren Benjamin, Abigail, Emma-Le, Clare-Lin, Sophia, Olivia and Nicholas.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
