Mary Frances Wall, 98, of Waco, passed away peacefully Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Catherine Center. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at 10 AM at Scanio Harper Funeral Home in Temple with John Abraham officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Tuesday April 15, from 6-8 PM at Scanio Harper Funeral Home. Mrs. Wall was born in Moffat, February 28, 1916, to John Franklin and Lou Ella Roper Grimes. She married James Alton Wall October 22, 1933. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1995. She lived at Owl Creek before moving to Temple in 1946, and moved to Waco 9 years ago. She was a homemaker and loved to sew. She was a charter member of Kings' Daughters Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered for 25 years. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son-in-law, George Stanton. She is survived by her daughters Melba Stanton and Jan (& Mel) Koskela both of Waco; son James Bryon (& Meg) Wall of Colorado Spring, Colorado; sister Dorothy Watts of Temple; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and thirty- one great great grandchildren.
