Funeral services for Mary Lou Springer, 92, of Temple, formerly of Rogers, will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Covenant Lutheran Church with Rev. Heath Abel officiating. Burial will be in Hope Lutheran Memorial Park.
Mrs. Springer died Wednesday in a Georgetown Living Center.
Mrs. Springer was born August 4, 1929 in Sharp to Oscar Meeck and Elizabeth Reichert Meeck. She graduated from Sharp High School. She married Kennith Springer April 13, 1947. She lived in Rogers since 1952, before moving to Temple in 2008. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts for many years and then became a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Springer was preceded in death by her husband on October 13, 2010 and by a son James M. Springer December 10, 2013.
Survivors include her daughter Faith Zajicek and her husband Jimmy of Holland; eight grandchildren Kenny Zajicek of Belton, Lauren Weinheimer of Tomball Michael Zajicek of Tomball, James M. Springer, Jr. of Belton, Jordan Ryan Springer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tanner Brock Springer of Corpus Christi, Jesse Campbell of Hutto and Samantha Brooke Springer of Waco and nineteen great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Memorial Park or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
