June Parker Church

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 29th at 10am at Grace Presbyterian Church. Private family burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

An unattended viewing will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 4:00pm - 9:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home, 3110 Airport Rd., Temple, Texas 76504.

June was born on July 12, 1946 in Houston, Texas the daughter of James Horace Parker and Jonie Lee Parker. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and later graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She married Paschel Church on June 8, 1968 in Houston, Texas.

June was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong learner and entertained herself and us all with a life full of hobbies and interests. She was a baker, dancer, gardener, pianist, chocolatier, florist, poet, deacon, volunteer, artist, teacher and avid cat lover.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 53 years, Paschel Church of Temple, two children: Julie Bolin of Temple and Greg Church and wife Rachel of Austin; and three grandchildren: Caroline, Gray and Owen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church of Temple, or to the American Cancer Society to help with the effort to study and cure Merkel cell skin cancer.
