He was born on December 21, 1925 in Goodman, Missouri to Nellie Mae and Berta Elmer Bunch.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Imogene Talbot Bunch; his second wife, Beatrice June Young Bunch, and two sons, John and William.
Mr. Bunch was a Sargent First Class serving in World War II and the Korean War. After retiring from the army in 1967 he was in civil service at the Ft. Hood Officers Club. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Bunch was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He and his second wife served a mission in Washington, D.C.. They both shared a love for genealogy.
He loved to go bowling. Two days a week you could find him bowling in Phantom Old Timers League on Ft. Hood.
Mr. Bunch is survived by his children Rex Bunch, Leslie Bunch both of Greenville, TX; Judy Quick of Canisteo, New York; Linda Noack of Brownwood, TX; Sue Moore of Tow, TX; Darryl Reed of Pearland, TX; Sheryl Bazemore of Hattiesburg, MS; Karen Hughes of Temple; Donna Pustejovsky of Columbus, TX; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday. Services will be 10:00am Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3909 Ermine Trail in Temple. Burial will be at the Killeen City Cemetery.
