James Easley

James Easley, 77, of Temple, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Minister Loyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2006, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Easley was born November 2, 1928 in Temple to Jessie Alfred and Ruby Howard Easley. He was a graduate of Temple High School. He married Charlene LeCompte June 4, 1950 in Belton. He was a member of Avenue T Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Charlene Easley of Temple; three sons, Mike Easley and wife Susie of Austin, Texas, Gary Easley and wife Connie of Hammond, Louisiana, and Steve Easley and wife Cindy of Cedar Hill, Texas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Aaron Easley, Jacob Easley, Joseph Easley, Phillip Easley, Lucas Easley, and Johnny Martinez. Memorials may be made to Avenue T Church of Christ, 2009 W.
