Mrs. Hilda Schmidt, age 100, passed away April 23 in Temple. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 25 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Crawford-Bowers of Temple. Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday, April 26 at Salem Lutheran Church in Rosebud with burial to follow at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Hilda was born July 5, 1912 to August and Alma (Sander) Lorenz in Ben Arnold, Texas. She was raised in the Rosebud area and was a member of the Ruth Circle of the Salem Lutheran Church. She married Leo Schmidt on November 30, 1933.
Mrs. Schmidt is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Merlene Bravenec of Temple, a son, Donald Schmidt of Rosebud, two brothers, Milton and Edward Lorenz, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
