Fern Waters, 97, of Belton, TX, passed away on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 at a Temple nursing home. Fern was born September 23, 1926, in Shields, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Evans and Velma Evans Cummings. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Boyd Waters, and son Keith.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Waters, of Belton, two nieces and a nephew.
Fern was hired by Wilsonart in 1956 when the business was opened in Temple and retired there in 1991. She then bought and ran Lois’s Florist for several years before selling it.
There will be a visitation at Scanio Harper Funeral Home on Friday, September 6th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on September 7th, at Bellwood Cemetery.
