Ella Jean Fowler

Ella Jean Fowler, age 91 of Temple, died Thursday, November 21, 2019 at a local hospital. The family will receive visitors from 1-4:00pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Happy Cemetery, in Happy, Texas.

Mrs. Fowler was born on September 2, 1928 in Fannin County, Texas to the late Elmo Edwin Savage and Lillie Lee Jenkins Savage. She grew up in Fannin County and attended schools in Trenton and Leonard. She married B.E. “Buck” Fowler on June 28, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2013. They moved to the Panhandle in 1950 and lived there until moving to Temple in 2010. She attended Bethel Church in Temple. She was a great farmhand, helping her husband with everything. She also loved gardening and ceramics. Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Cathy Fowler; one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Estep of Belton; a son, Alan Fowler of Rowlett; a sister, Wanda Willeford of Farmers Branch; a brother, Edwin Savage of Seguin; two grandchildren, Rex Bryan and Chuck Bryan; and six great grandchildren.
