Eddie Glenn Lewis

Services for Eddie will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple with DJ Billingsley and Dell Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas at 1:30 PM.

Eddie was born on January 26, 1962 in Temple, TX to Harold and Verna Joy Lewis.

Eddie loved to fish, camp, umpire baseball and softball, play video games, watch movies. He loved his dogs, they were his kids.

Becoming a diabetic at age 14 gave Eddie the calling to be a nurse. He became an RN in 1984 graduating from University of Mary Hardin Baylor and continued nursing up until health issues prevented him from continuing his career 10 years ago.

Eddie was preceded in death by his Father, Harold Eugene Lewis, three sisters – Shirley Rush, Jean Shanks, and Bettye Lewis.

He is survived by his Mother, Verna Joy Lewis of Temple, his sister Patsy Lawrence of Temple, and his brother Wayne Lewis of Lubbock. Eddie is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews, and one great great nephew.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
