Donna Marie Marek

Ms. Marek died Monday in a Temple Living Center.

Ms. Marek was born April 18, 1948 in Rosebud to Walter G. Marek and Josey Stuessel Marek.   She grew up in Burlington and graduated from Rosebud High School in 1966.  She went to work as a clerk for Santa Fe Railroad and retired in 2008, after 37 years of service, from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.  She lived in Temple for the last sixteen years and was a Lutheran.

Ms. Marek was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Beverly Marek in 1962 and one brother Charles Marek in 2011.

Survivors include two daughters Alana Heugatter of Austin and Allison Lynn Heugatter Cryer and her husband John of Belton; two grandchildren Courtney Bobalik and her husband James and Chase Cryer; one sister Brenda Burkes; two nieces Shannon Marek and Kelli Kent and other relatives and close friends.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
