Funeral services for Daisy Belle Owens, 83, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday January 2, 2009 at Scanio Harper Funeral Home. Burial will be in Moffat Cemetery. Mrs. Owens died Monday at her residence. Mrs. Owens was born in Bell County to Davis White and Sarah Owens White. She lived in Bell County all of her life. She married Cecil D. Owens Sr. Oct. 2, 1942. He preceded her in death Jan 12, 2001. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons David Owens of Hallettsville and Danny Owens of Temple; three daughters Cecelia Fritz of Temple, Debra Lyda of Georgetown and Jennifer Owens of Temple; one brother Ray White of Temple; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice in Temple. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.
