Bryan graduated from Temple High School in 1993 and remained an avid Wildcat fan. He received a Bachelors Degree in Equine Sciences from Texas Tech University where he proudly served on The Masked Rider Field Safety Team.
Bryan volunteered with the Texas Youth Hunting Program for many years and was an Area Coordinator from 2007 to 2019. He loved to teach young people the importance of hunting responsibly. He also enjoyed hunting with his brothers, Michael and David, and father-in-law, Weyman Leiber.
Bryan was married to Kristy Leiber in Brenham, Texas, on June 2, 2007. He was a loving and passionate husband. He was a proud and amazing father to two sons, Kasey, 9, and James, 7.
Bryan was baptized, April 23rd, 2011, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple, Texas, where he continued to raise his sons in service to the Lord.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Kristy, and sons Kasey and James; parents, Charles and Martha Sue Perkins; parents-in-law, Weyman and Carol Leiber; brothers and sisters-in-law and their families: Michael and Leslie (Lucas) Perkins, Timothy and Allison; David and Michele (Hickey) Perkins, Samuel and Emily; Reschele (Leiber) Lawrence and Eric LeBlanc, Scott.
Bryan is preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Nina Ruth Perkins, and James Garnett and Martha Elizabeth Akin, and Tavie Udell Akin; and by his best friend, Keith Williams.
A visitation for Bryan will be held Sunday, August 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Temple, Texas. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Ministries Temple Campus, Temple, Texas, with burial to follow at Moody Cemetery, 1506 Ave D Highway 317, Moody, TX 76557.
