Bruce E. Rea Jr.

Bruce E. Rea, Jr., 72, of Temple, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, in Temple. He was born January 9, 1953, in Temple, to Bruce E. Rea Sr. and Willie Maye (Lock) Rea. On June 16, 1979, he married Anna Michelle Moody, with whom he shared a loving marriage and a family. Together, they had two children, Scott Thornal and Krystal (Rea) Smith.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Virginia Macintosh and Glinda Harbison. He is survived by his wife, Anna; his children; eight grandchildren, Chase Nathaniel Thornal, Chevrolet Paige Thornal, David Scott Thornal, Chastiti Nicole Thornal, Barrett Morrison Thornal, Ginger Fate 'Rose' Amos, Damon Blake Amos and Tor'n Holman Enon Smith; four great-grandchildren, Naomi Paige Thornal, J.J. Valrerde, Leo Valrerde and Kazlyin Gossett; his brother, Charles Rea and his wife Mary; as well as nieces, Angie and Tressa Rea and a nephew, Allan Rea.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Milne officiating. Burial will follow at North Elm Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.

Bruce’s family will forever cherish his memory and the love he shared with them throughout his life.
