

He married Phyllis Jean Ayers on May 21, 1949 in Woodward, Oklahoma and following a transfer with the railroad, they moved here June 1973.
Mr. Mancillas retired from the Sante Fe Railroad after 39 years working as a Roadmaster and passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 in a Temple hospital at the age of 83.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 9, 2007.
Survivors include four daughters, Connie Mancillas of Boulder City, NV, Sandy Mancillas, Billie Caughlin and her husband, Charles Patrick, and Lisa Mooney and her husband, Brian, all of Temple; two brothers, Gene Mancillas of Arlington and Steve Mancillas of Purcell, OK; and a sister, Loreto Mancillas of Enid, OK; four grandchildren, Nikki Mancillas of Henderson, NV, Jaqueline Arredondo of San Marcos, Bryan Caughlin of Jarrell and Shannon Marek of Waco; and 2 great-granddaughters, Skylin and Haven Caughlin of Jarrell.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm, Sunday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple.
Funeral services are 10:00 am Monday at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Cemetery.
