Bernice Littlejohn, the 14th child of Will Abner and Mary Lee Robinson, was born April 16, 1933 in Bell, Texas. She graduated from Dunbar high School in Temple, Texas. Recognizing the need for Christ, as the center of her life, Ms. Littlejohn accepted Christ, as a very young lady.
In the early 1950’s, Ms. Littlejohn moved to San Antonio, Texas, and worked for Scrivener’s Tea Room, for over fifty years.
Bernice had many talents, in addition, to cooking. She to work, in her yard. She had a real “green thumb”. She was a hairdresser, fashion stylist, seamstress and a sociable individual. She loved spending time with family and friends, whenever, possible. She loved whipping up on you, in cards. Bid Wisk and Spades were the Robison’s favorite past time, outside in the yard, at the Big House.
Aunt Beecy was dedicated member of Antioch Baptist Church, in San Antonio, TX, unit she moved back to temple. Here she joined the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, until her demise, on March 14, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Will Abner Robinson, her mother Ms. Mary Lee Robinson, her brothers; Mr. Willie Vernon Robinson, Mr. Warner Lewis Robinson, and Mr. Ace Charles Robinson; her sisters: Ms. Erma Inez Ollison, Ms. Doris Alene Robinson, Ms. Mary Louise Burleson, Gwendolyn Mozelle Browning, Ms. Norma May McKindra, Ms. Earnstyne Eugenia Robinson, and Ms. Carrie Lucille Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved son, Mr. Jerryl Darwn Robinson (Carol), her two brothers: Mr. John Abner Robinson Sr. and Mr. Jimmie Raye Robinson Sr., her two sisters: Ms. Frankie Winters Plair and Ms. Winnie Faye Fletcher and a host of relatives-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great nephews/nieces, Godchildren and friends.
