Wayne Valenti

Wayne married Chimene in 1990 where their twins Wayne and Jessica Valenti were born from this union. Wayne served in the Navy for 21 years residing in Charleston, South Carolina and St. Mary's, Georgia. After retiring in 2007 he uprooted his family back to their hometown in Tampa, Florida.

Wayne decided to pursue education and acquired 3 degrees: bachelor's in science and education, Master’s in business administration, and a degree in Educational Specialist. With these degrees Wayne pursued a new passion, teaching, in the classroom and as an administrator for 16 years in Hillsborough County. Retiring from his career as an Assistant Principal at Bing Elementary.

Wayne had a passion for: golfing, woodworking, basketball, the Rays, the Bucs, and most importantly family. Wayne played a key role in changing the lives of those around him, being a constant support system as a son, brother, husband, father, and uncle. He will always be “livin the dream.”

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Chimene Valenti; his beloved children, Jessica Nikkol Valenti and Wayne Anthony Valenti (Mabel); brothers, Leonard Valenti III, Steven Valenti and Gregory Valenti; and sister, Laura Willis (Michael). Wayne is also survived by his "Dream Team", and many, loving family, friends and colleagues.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 1 - 2 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 2 pm at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Terrace Oaks Chapel, 12690 N. 56th St, Temple Terrace, FL 33617.

In lieu of flowers, a Scholarship will be established in Wayne's memory.
