

COLLINS, Margaret R., 81, of Tampa, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully entered Heaven. Margaret was born May 9, 1933 in Marysvale, NL, Canada. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years; Chaplain Harold Collins; her son Scott Collins; her parents, Mary and Edward Ryan; her brothers, Michael, Gerald and Edward Ryan; and her sister, Evelyn Ryan. Margaret was a wonderful, Godly mother and wife. In her younger years, she worked as a surgical tech and then as a nurse. She loved traveling and was able to visit many countries as her husband served in the Army. She loved cooking, reading her bible and praying. Most of all, she loved the Lord and her family –both church and the ones she lived with. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Collins, Teresa Stacy and her husband Dwayne (Bubba) Stacy; loving granddaughter, Katie Hudgins; Nieces she loved as daughters, Joanie and Mona Ryan; several other nieces and nephews; Church family. Special thanks to Dr Marian Menezes, Bonnie Smith Appler PAC, Dr Mayra Rivera, and Scarlet Owens, ARNP for their excellent care. The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2014 at Open Door Baptist Church, 7405 N. Harney Road, Tampa. Interment in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
