I just found out about Louisa's passing.  She was wonderful.  I actually called her Judy because she looked like my sister! I showed her a picture and she agreed. She will be so missed. I retired from Moffitt in Dec 3021.

So sorry to hear of Louise’s passing.   I saw her at Catholic High’s 50th reunion.  She truly represented the TCHS motto —- let your light shine.  Earth has lost a truly wonderful human being but heaven has gained another angel.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Rattini-Reich families.

I was so sad to hear about Louisa's passing.  She and I worked together in the Thoracic clinic and did a job share many years ago at Moffitt Cancer Center.  We became fast friends.   Louisa loved Nursing and had a wonderful sense of humor and one of the most loving hearts I have ever encountered.   Above all she loved her children and her husband!  Her laughter will live on forever.   I pray your memories sustain you and may you continue to feel her love surround you during this time.

I was shocked to hear about Louisa passing.  It is a sad day to say the least.  She could walk into a room and not know anyone and leave making a roomful of new friends, that was a gift of the kind of person she was.

Aline and I are saddened to learn of your loss. Louisa was always larger than life.  I am reminded of the line from the Prayer of St. Francis, "...it is dying that we are born to eternal life."  

Steve, Louis and Emily.     I cannot express how deep your loss is.  Louisa is a loss to all who have known her.  Her wit, personality and love that she spread.  She is the first person I knew, back in the eighties, who was thanking service members for their service.  That has made an impact on me.  Even though Belton only met Louisa, a couple of times, he feels the same way.
Louisa would not want us to mourn her. But to celebrate her.   We raised a toast to her.

Open arms,a warm loving smile... That's Louisa...We shared many memories...Seeing the Beatles at the Baltimore Civic Center,ironing our hair in Aunt Tina's kitchen... sleep overs filled with giggles.All our memories filled with Joy and Laughter...Louisa always had the song Celebration played at gatherings and started the Dance .We all created a circle ,hands around our waists..the smiling and laughter began until the last note....The song Celebration was playing as You,My Louisa,was greeted by Family and Friends at the Entrance of Heaven..A Ricotta Cake, remembered as your favorite...I Love You, Louisa.....

Louisa was a special human! She gave her smile and kindness to everyone she met. I went to high school with Steve but I really got to know Louisa working with her at BCBS of MD. Had dinner with her at her Moms house, such a sweet family.

I knew Louise since she and Steve were together.  I went to high school with Steve and we had fun times at St. Clement’s CYO.  So long ago.  They were the nicest couple.  Louise was the friendliest and sweetest person.  I last saw them at an Overlea High School reunion. My sympathies and prayers to Steve and their children.  She will be missed.  🙏🏻

My dear friend, Louisa (aka Luigi as she was known at Girl Scout camp).  I have never met a more thoughtful, sweetest, kindest human being in my life.  I'm very honored and privileged to call you my friend
and to be included in your family.  The day you walked in and volunteered at the Girl Scout meeting was the best introduction to an everlasting friendship.   The memories and the laughs that we had with the girls as well as just us adults will never be lost and will be forever cherished.  I will miss you here on Earth but Heaven received an angel!  We will meet again, cook some more with dutch ovens and enjoy more laughter.

I will never forget Louisa's vibrancy, and her spirit.  She always found the good in everyone she met. I loved her smile, her caring and sincerity. I will miss her. 


Louisa was such a wonderful nurse to her patients.  They were truly blessed to have her by their side.  Other nurses like myself were blessed to have her as our colleague and friend.  She was smart, funny, and REAL!  Heaven got a good one!  You will be missed my friend. 

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family members. I remember meeting her for the first time, so pleasant, a great listener, and truly interested in who I was.  Every meeting after that was the same.  Luisa was always a ray of sunshine. No matter how difficult the task, she always had something positive to say.  She had an answer for most things. If she did not have the answer, she would point you in the right direction. We have lost a gem! May she rest in peace!

A bright star who left a long standing impression of warm, love and compassion.  Her radiance will carry on in all of who were luckily enough to known her. 

We shared many secrets, the same Mom & Dad. We shared lots of good times, don’t think of the bad. Our memories we’ll cherish with love without end. I’m glad you’re my sister. I’m glad you’re my friend.

I met Louisa on July 18, 2016 at Moffitt, the day my mother passed away.  She had been a dear friend to my mother for over a decade as my mother fought breast cancer.   I was having a hard time with my mom's treatment in the hospital, so I went to see Dr. Balducci to discuss her care.  He introduced me to Louisa.  She was such a caring and compassionate person.  She spoke with me for about 30 minutes and promised to come see my mom in her room after she was off. Both she and Dr. Balducci actually came to my mom's room to visit, and when Louisa realized that the end was near, she stayed there with me until the end.  I will never forget her kindness.

I am so sorry that she has passed, but what a wonderful legacy she has left!  Prayers and condolences to her family.

I will treasure every moment and interaction I had with Louisa. Light just shined from her. She was a lover of life and had much to teach us by the way she lived. So grateful to have spent some time with this great Soul. (You are so loved by so many Louisa.)

Louisa was an amazing woman and nurse. She touched many lives. She was so kind hearted, super funny, always positive,  and full of energy. She always lit up a room. I had a pleasure to work with her through magnet and the SNAC committee at moffitt, she was so amazing. I also had the honor of taking care of her  as a patient and was able to meet her beautiful and supportive family. You will be missed dearly Louisa. 

Louisa was a ray of sunshine whenever you spoke with her.  She always had positive words and was so knowledgeable.  We would see Louisa occasionally at a committee or in passing, and it was always a pleasure to stop and chat with her.   Everyone in PAT remembers her fondly and will miss her positive light.  Louisa made everyone feel comfortable, important, and heard.  Heaven is rejoicing to have her home.  My condolences to Louisa's family and loved ones.

I am so sorry for your loss. Louisa was a wonderful nurse, mentor, and loved by everyone who worked with her. She will be greatly missed.

I have such fond memories visiting with  Louisa when I was a child. Her goodness, kindness, and love radiated  from her every pore.

If one had the opportunity to get to know Louisa one was blessed with a beautiful gift from this life.  Her infectious smile, genuine hugs and kind heart brightened every room she was in. She had the ability to make one feel always welcomed and loved. I will miss dearly her presence on this earth, and I will now look for her light among the stars. 


Always a bright beaming light and full of joy. I will never forget the day I met this beautiful Godly creature during my interview process at Moffitt. I knew then I was in the presence of greatness. 

I am so sorry for this loss.  I really and truly appreciated the brief chances we had to interact during my time in Tampa and my thoughts are with you at this time.  

Mrs. Louisa, has always been such a pleasure. Our days in the Senior Adult Clinic, were unforgettable. From our clinic days together to our dinners after work. You will forever be missed Mrs. Louisa. LOVED YOU DEARLY!  Until we meet again.

I was so sad to learn of Louisa's passing! 
I've been thinking about the good times we used to have in the early years of your's and Mike's and my relationships and marriages. The parties and dinners.  Visiting back and forth. The camping trips. Stay strong and hold on tight to your wonderful memories.  Mike and Louisa are probably busy catching up right now!

Whenever I think of Louisa it is always a good memory- a good drink/food moment, a good laugh, a good hug, a good smile, a good story - all of it. She was truly pure goodness and she was so so so loved by so many people. I am so grateful I got to become friends with Emily because that means I got to know Louisa too. I am sending so much love to you all, and know Louisa will always be with you/us 💖💖💖

I will always think of the joy and light you shared with all who knew you. The Mayor of Moffitt, walking with you was an experience because you would stop and chat with everyone!  Devoted to family, an excellent and competent nurse, a great friend; you will be remembered and missed.

This year's spirit of Miles for Moffitt award went to Team Louisa. Hearing her speak on stage was enlightening, and she deserved every second of it. We are grateful that we got to be a part of her light.

Here is Louisa in December 2021 at Regina's house to make gingerbread lady cookies with a bunch of other Moffitt-eers. 

I remember trekking our luggage through Paris, and dining on some unidentifiable bovine parts at a lovely restaurant with dear colleagues. Louis also joined us, adding to the wonderful time!

Louisa made you feel like you were the only important person when she was talking to you. Her laughter echoed in the halls daily in the Senior adult program.

 Full of compassion for her patient and families, whom she fought fiercely for to meet and exceed their needs.

Our deepest condolences to Steve, Louis, Emily and Jackie.  My fondest memory of Louisa is her making meatballs at her best friend, Joan’s house. The entire house smelled of garlic, onions, oregano and basil.  Then in the background we would be listening to Bruce Springsteen.  Louisa, I know that when you arrived in heaven, God said “well done my faithful servant.  Welcome home my daughter.
