Moller, Joan Winifred, age 84, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2015. She fought a brave battle against cancer. Joan was born in the Bronx, NY. on January 27, 1931, and was a graduate of Jamaica High School in Queens, NY. She was married to her loving husband, Gunther for 37 years. They raised their children in Bethpage, NY and later moved to Tampa. She worked as a data entry clerk for several companies, retiring from Met Life. She was a member of Palma Ceia United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She’ll be remembered for her smile, strong spirit and devotion to those she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Edith McMahon, her husband, Gunther Moller and her loving sister, Edythe McMahon. She is survived by a son, John Wesley Moller, a daughter, Karen Amidei (Steve), granddaughters, Lauren Tice and Kristen Jeffries (Kyle). Six loving nieces and extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2015 from 6 - 8PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Terrace Oaks Chapel, Temple Terrace. Memorials may be made to LifePath Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
