Hazel Simpson Coleman, age 103, of Tampa, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Hazel was born June 30, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Reverend John and Charlotte (Smith) Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aaron Coleman; brother, Charles Simpson; and sisters, Mae Jacoks, Eleanor Swindell and Hortense Knott.
Survivors include three cousins, Alfonzo Simpson, Elsa Hart and Mira Walker; two nieces, Michelle Swindell and Karen Simpson; five nephews, Kenneth Swindell, Reggie Swindell, Jerry Swindell, Charles Simpson, Jr and Clinton Knott; and a host of loving family and friends.
A memorial service for Hazel will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at St. James United Methodist Church, 16202 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647.
