Erma Elaine Hinze

Erma was a 1946 graduate of Muskegon Senior High School. In 1949, she married the love of her life, Joseph E. Hinze. Erma worked as an office manager for State Farm Insurance in Whitehall, MI. As a parishioner of Lebanon Lutheran Church, she was an active member of the Priscilla Society, WELCA, the choir and Church Council. She also taught Sunday School. After moving to Temple Terrace, FL in 1994, Erma became a parishioner of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she served in the choir, Church Council and as a volunteer. She also volunteered for Metropolitan Ministries and Cahoon Elementary School in Tampa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph E. Hinze; son, Jack E. Hinze; and sister, Mary Ellen Vanderzee.

Survivors include her sons, John R. Hinze and wife Linda; and Roger A. Hinze; sisters, Lois Peuler and Barbara Mast and husband Alvin; grandsons, Marcus Hinze and wife Melissa; and Matthew Hinze; and great-grandson, Marcus Hinze Jr.

Visitation will be from 10 - 11 am on Saturday, April 29, 2023 followed by a Service beginning at 11 am at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 304 Druid Hills Rd, Temple Terrace.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Erma's memory to Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Metropolitan Ministries or to the Lebanon Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
