Cecelia Teresa Carter

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, George W. Carter; parents Frank & Zilla (nee Scherier) Robey; and son Peter I. Carter.

Cecelia is survived by her children Denis (Stella) Carter, Joan (Mark) Carter McLaughlin, and George (Annia) Andrew Carter; her grandchildren Sean Carter, Monique Buchanan, Jeremiah Jones, Cody Jones, Ryan McLaughlin, Matthew McLaughlin, Peter Carter, Andrew Carter and Steven Carter; her great-grandchildren Nathaniel Buchanan, Cole Carter, Keely Carter, Josie Ann Jones, Jessie Mae Jones Crowley, Jillian Jones Young, Judy Elizabeth Jones, Jenna Lee Jones, Jalynn Jones, Jeremiah Walker Jones, Katherine Grace Jones, and Daniel Cole Jones; as well as many extended family and friends.

Cecelia was well known for her work in theatre in Jamaica alongside her husband, George W. Carter (d. 2016). In her early years, she devoted much of her time to the Church and to the charitable work of the Ladies Sodality.

Memorial Mass will be held 11am, Monday, June 5 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Temple Terrace, Florida with Rev. Father Kovanis officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Temple Terrace, FL (charity serving the poor) or to any charity of your own choosing."
