Dennis Paul Ryan

Dennis was born on February 18, 1941 to the late Paul and Evelyn Ryan. Dennis was the eldest of six children.

As a young child, he grew up on the north side of Chicago and later moved to the suburbs. In late 1995, he and Merle relocated to Arizona.

This fun-loving man had a great sense of humor and knew how to brighten up a room. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

In his early years, Dennis enjoyed playing golf and always enjoyed a challenging game of chess. He was an avid reader. Dennis‘s heart and consummate considerations of others were his testimony of his belief in Christ. Although he endured physical challenges the last years of his life, Dennis did not complain, but forever gave thanks to God and for Merle, his never tiring best friend and wife.

Surviving Dennis is Merle, his wife of 35 years.

Children: Laura Schulz (Tom) of Arkansas, Susan Wheeler (Kevin)of Illinois and Joseph Ryan of Illinois.

Grandchildren: Roger Schulz (Kelly) of Minnesota, Emily Schulz of Wisconsin, Nicholas Wheeler of Missouri and Michael Wheeler of Florida.

Great Grandchild: Ian Schulz of Minnesota

Siblings: Pat Walter of Florida, Richard Ryan (Mary Beth) of Illinois, Donald Ryan (Melinda) of Iowa and Eileen Holz of Illinois

Dennis is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Dennis in death are his: Father and Mother, Paul and Evelyn Ryan, brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Ellen Ryan and stepson, Jay Moore.

Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Fond memories of him will always bring a smile.

A Memorial Service will be held August 17, 2019 at 11a.m. at Christ Church of the Ascension, 4015 E. Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253
