1933 - 2019
Anna K. Johnson, of Green Valley, Arizona, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Society in Prescott, Arizona on the morning of March 3rd, 2019. She was 85 years old. She was born on December 22, 1933, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Anthony and Eva Klepatsky. It was in Waterbury that she met and married her husband of 56 years, Robert.
In the late 60’s, Anna, Robert and their two children, Robert and Susan, moved to Southern California where they spent many happy years and established many lasting friendships in the San Diego area.
Anna was sought after for her skills as a bookkeeper and spent many years as such in the early days of the computer industry. She was loved by everyone she worked with.
Among the things her friends remember about her, is how she loved having people gather at her home for celebrations, especially at Christmastime. Her Christmas Eve open houses are one of the first things people bring up when someone mentions her name. They are a fond memory for many people.
Anna was also known for her incredible generosity, thoughtfulness and amazing hugs. She loved to laugh and she loved people. She also had a great love of music, painting, reading and dogs. One of her favorite things to remind people was, “Dog spelled backwards is God.” She loved to sing and especially enjoyed harmonizing. Above all, she loved her family and friends.
She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband Robert. Among the places they visited, some of their favorites were London, Istanbul, Santa Fe, and Florence.
Anna is survived by her husband Robert and daughter Susan. A small private ceremony was held with Anna’s immediate family upon her passing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Animal League of Green Valley Arizona. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Good Samaritan Society, Prescott Village for their kindness and loving care.
