William Stanley DeBusk

.William Stanley DeBusk, age 91, of New Tazewell was born August 3, 1925 in Claiborne County and passed away June 1, 2017 in Livermore, California with his daughter by his side. He was a member of Tazewell Baptist Church. For the past two years he has been living with his daughter, Debbie and son-in-law David Cherry of Pleasanton, California. He enjoyed his grandchildren, great-grand children, his dog Cody, reading the Bible, watching old movies and his favorite TV shows.

He was proceeded in death by wife Bessie Idol DeBusk, son Danny Kent DeBusk, son-in-law David Cherry, parents Harold Lawrence (Big Apple) DeBusk and Hester Hill DeBusk, and siblings Ruby (Lawrence) Muncy, Ruth (Hubert) Muncy, and James (Barbara) DeBusk.

He is survived by daughter Debbie DeBusk Cherry, grandson Joshua (Melissa) Cherry, granddaughters Adrianne Cherry and Kelsey Cherry & Peyton Kelliher. Also, great grandchildren Kaylee, Aidan and Nolan Cherry, Casey Michael Cherry, Mason Kelliher. Also survived by brother Frank (Lagretta) DeBusk, sister Mertie (Bert) Richachar, sister Georgia (Swann) Whitaker and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Friday, June 16th at Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Coffey Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17th with James C. McMurray officiating and music provided by Barbara R. Hatfield. Burial immediately following at Fairview Cemetery . Pall bearers will be Bobby Muncy, Jack Muncy, Dennis Chadwell, Russell DeBusk, Chris Whitaker, Johnny Chadwell, Robert DeBusk, and Craig Whitaker. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
