Shirley Mae Brown Yeary was born July 14, 1921 and passed away on June 19, 2011 at Claiborne County Hospital. She was saved at 14 years of age and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church, but later was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Yeary, Sr.; sons, Donald and Franklin Yeary; 1 step-daughter, Shelby Jean Martin; 1 step-grandson, Marion Yeary; special granddaughter, Donna Pace; parents, Millard and Rachel Longworth Brown; brothers, Parris and Arvel Brown;sisters, Ethel Dean, Pearl Middleton , Nola Landman, Lillie Brooks; special sisters-in-law, Martha Yeary Brown and Beulah Yeary Osborne who were as dear as sisters to her. She is survived by her sons, Earl Yeary, Jr. and wife, Coleen , Curtis Lee Yeary, Ricky Yeary and wife, Hannah,Teddy Yeary ; daughters, Betty Cunningham and husband, David, Barbara Rowland and husband, Wayne, Patricia “Chris” Ball and husband, Clayton, Irene Yeary Cunningham and husband, Alva Junior, Ruby Pace and husband, Jack, Debra Henard and husband, Rev. Clarence George Henard; Marilyn Combs and husband, Troy all of the Claiborne area; 4 step-children, J.B. Yeary and wife, Mary, Orville Yeary and wife, Marilyn, Ameline Lawson Collins and Wanda Munch and husband, Michael; 13 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren;12 great grandchildren and 12 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Coolidge Brown and Rev. Hubert Brown . Special friends, Judy Brown, Lauren Harris, Verda Rice, Barbara Buchanan and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to follow at 8:00PM with Rev. George Henard, rev. Marcus Anderson and Rev. Larry Anderson officiating. Graveside service will be held at the Red Hill Cemetery at 2:00PM Wednesday, June 22, 2011 with Steve Longworth, Virgil Yeary, Russell Yeary, Michael Rowland Grandson, Robin Bolden and Michael Pace, Grandson serving as pallbearers.
