Sherri L Jones

Sherri L. Jones age 60 of Mulberry Gap of Sneedville, TN was born June 2, 1957 and went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2018. Sherri was saved as a young child at Wolfenbarger Baptist Church in Alanthis Hill and was a member of Mulberry Gap Baptist Church for over thirty-six years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. Sherri was also an avid animal lover. She was well known for her sense of fashion and her love of shoes. Sherri was preceded in death by her mother Iva and father Joe Ellis. Brother Jimmy Ellis. Sister Peggy Joe Cheak. Sister-in-law Shelia Ann Jones. She leaves behind a loving husband of forty-five years Jackie Jones of Mulberry Gap. A daughter Jacqueline (Scotty) Lawson of Thorn Hill. Granddaughter Giulia and fiancé Alex Kilgore of Mulberry Gap. Great granddaughter Alanah Kilgore of Mulberry Gap. Siblings Kyle (Margie) Ellis, Opal Johnson and the late Bill Johnson, Margaret Hall and the late David Hall and L.J. (Nell) Ellis all of Rose Hill VA. Special nephew Nathan Hopkins. Special friends Jerry and Beverly Ramsey.

Family will receive friends Thursday January 25th from 6 until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home, and Friday January 26th from 6 until 8:30 PM at Mulberry Gap Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Saturday January 27th at 2 PM in Mulberry Gap Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow. Officiating Pastor Jerry Ramsey and Pastor Charles Roberts. Singers will be Beverly, Sierra and Storm Ramsey; and Barbara and Talmage Gibson. Pallbearers: Nathan Hopkins, Dale Hopkins, Mike Ellis, David Hall Jr, Ricky Ellis and Allen Fortner. Honorary Pallbearers: Curtis Fortner, Jessie Hall, James Hall and Junior Gilbert.
